Do you realize that every encounter you have on earth is a story that means something? Nothing is random. God is completely in control and just like the Bible’s historic tales of peoples lives; you are making more today for your book of life.
Our life stories may not have made it into scripture but they are the stories that live out His plan. The fact that each and every one of us play this role in Devine purpose comforts me. Even the most tragic or insignificant occurrences have deep meaning to our Creator.

There are many times in my life where God had a plan that was derived from my own terrible decisions. The choices I had made were not the best plan for my life. However God has ultimate sovereignty and he turned my poor decision(s) into a life that glorifies. When I thought I had possible stepped over the ‘deep edge’ of no return; God showed me that these choices were going to be used to strengthen my life not weaken it!
everyone is part of the equation
Think about this for a second… anyone you encounter in your life God has a purpose for both of you! If you are willing to open your heart to see others as part of the equation, you will experience the joy in being part of a bigger plan. When I say everyone I mean all people! The person you smiled at in the grocery store; or the person that you accidently cut off in traffic and you waved a peaceful ‘sorry’ back to them. Everyone is part of the map of your life.
holding on like a stain
No one expects you to sit happily while you are going through a terrible time. Being uncomfortable or even torn apart is usually part of the process. I assure you I could divulge bad decisions that have made me very uncomfortable and have ripped me apart! But from these errors I have grown; shone and become more of who God needs me to be and exactly the purpose He has for my life. From the mess God has enabled me to shine brighter, live louder and share stronger. I am not ashamed of my past or hold it hostage like a stain.
Perfection is God’s plan; purpose is ours. If you feel like you do not have purpose today, look around- you will see it, just open your eyes wider.
